REGISTRATION

As an international race event that crosses the Canada-USA border - and back again - we naturally offer a dedicated registration page for citizens and permanent residents of each country. Runners from other countries may register on either site. Our transfer, refund and deferral policy is below.

Age Requirements

Due to the challenging nature of our courses and by recommendation from our affiliations through the Road Runners Club of America, USA Track and Field and Run New Brunswick, we adhere to the following age requirements to participate in the Bay of Fundy events:

Marathon: minimum age to compete in the Marathon is 18 years old

Half-Marathon: 14 years old

10k: 12 years old

NOTE: Registration for the cross-border races (marathon, half marathon) closes at 11:59pm on 17 May, 2025 or when capacity is full, to allow for border security clearances. No further entries will be accepted after that time. 10k registration will remain open up until race day if it hasn’t filled to capacity before that.

2025 Registration Timeline

  • Marathon/Half-Marathon - Registration closes 17 May at 11:59pm ET - 
  • 10K  - Registration closes on Friday 20 June at 11:59pm ET - or until capacity is reached

Special Consideration Athletes

  • Bay of Fundy International Marathon celebrates the diversity of its participants and encourages the participation of wheelchair, Duo-team athletes, and other people with disabilities.  Please email info@bayoffundymarathon.com to set up a phone call or zoom to discuss and review information about the race, including course terrain, elevation, conditions, time limitations, restrooms, availability of an early start, and border crossing. 
  • Available accommodations include a specific early start for wheelchair and duo-teams, designated space at the start and finish lines for privacy, and protection from the elements. 

Refunds, Transfers and Deferrals**

Refunds

This event follows the running industry standard of no refunds. Participants may purchase Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program through the registration process or two weeks after registration is complete through Race Roster. Learn More here.

Deferrals

This event is proud to offer deferrals for any reason up until May 1st, 11:59pm ET. Deferrals are defined as transfering your entry from the current year to next year only. Participants can request a deferral by email to info@bayoffundymarathon.com. Participants are responsible for any change in fees from one year to the next and are responsible for requesting next years entry. There is a $5 processing fee.

Transfers

This event allows transfers from one participant to another participant and upgrades / downgrades in event distance.

Transfers to another participant can be done through your race roster account until May 1st, 2025 at 11:59pm ET. There is a $5 process fee.

Upgrade/Downgrade in distance may be completed though your Race Roster account or by email- info@bayoffundymarathon.com. Participants are responsible for the difference in registration prices. The deadline to complete this is Friday June 20th at 11:59am ET. After May 1st, and up until race weekend you will be issued a generic bib that will not feature your name.
